I was looking for the source of regarding the flesh, devil, and world together.
Most of what I found was along the lines of what Fr. Keller said: "Christian spirituality, rooted in Scripture, spoke commonly of three spiritual enemies: the world, the flesh, and the devil." (St. John of the Cross, Intro to the Precautions)
St. John + discusses them in depth in his Precautions and in the Dark Night (2.21.3 and following).
The earliest mention I found was by Peter Abelard (d. 1142).
